Private Label Tea, Manufactured for Your Brand

Your tea brand, our factory

Private label is your product: made to your specification, labeled as yours.

Private label tea means one thing: tea developed, blended, and packed for your brand, by a manufacturer that does the work itself. We are that manufacturer. Based in Guangzhou, China, we produce private label tea for brand owners across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Unlike white label tea — where you pick from someone else's catalog — our private label program starts from your concept. Your formula, your packaging, your label. See how custom tea blends are developed →

What we make under your label

Every recipe is built by our R&D team and approved by you before production. With around 20 new products developed each year and 20 invention patents held by our Guangzhou company, recipe work is a core competence — not an afterthought.

The private label process

  1. Brief or sample. Send a reference product, a formula sketch, or a one-line concept.
  2. Recipe development. We build the blend; you taste and approve. Typical turnaround: about 15 days from concept to finished packed product.
  3. Packaging. Bags, boxes, tins, and labels to your artwork and dielines — or we design with you.
  4. Production & QC. Blending, bagging, and packing in 100,000-class clean workshops, checked by 2 dedicated QA/QC inspectors.
  5. Export. Documentation, compliance paperwork, and shipping handled by an exporter serving 30+ countries.

Why manufacture with Wansongtang

Private label vs. white label vs. contract manufacturing

Buyers often use these terms interchangeably, but they describe different levels of involvement — and different levels of ownership for your brand.

White label means you choose an existing, ready-made product from a manufacturer's catalog and apply your own branding. It is the fastest route to market and the lowest-risk, because the formula is already proven. The trade-off is differentiation: other brands can sell a near-identical product, so your advantage rests on packaging and marketing rather than the product itself.

Private label means the product is made for your brand, typically to your specification or a customized version of a proven formula. You own the concept and the positioning; the manufacturer owns the production. This is the middle path — more differentiation than white label, less development time than a full custom formula.

OEM/ODM contract manufacturing is the broadest category. OEM generally means you bring the formula or detailed specification and the manufacturer produces to it. ODM means the manufacturer also develops the formula or the product concept for you. In practice, most projects blend the two: you bring the market insight, and the manufacturer brings the recipe, format, and packing expertise.

For tea specifically, the practical question is where the recipe comes from. If you already have a blend you love, you need an OEM partner who can match and scale it. If you have a positioning — say, a sleep tea for a specific demographic — you need an ODM partner who can develop the blend with you. We work both ways, which is why our program starts from your brief rather than a fixed catalog.

What to look for in a private label tea manufacturer

Not every factory that bags tea is set up to build a brand with you. When you evaluate partners, these are the questions that separate a real private label program from a repackaging operation.

Do they blend in-house, or buy pre-blended base? In-house blending means you can adjust the recipe, control the flavor profile, and scale without being locked to a third party's supply. Ask where the actual blending happens.

What formats can they produce? Pyramid bags, flat bags, string-and-tag, and loose leaf each require different equipment. A manufacturer with only one format limits your product line. Our 13 production lines span these formats plus instant powders, so your range can grow without changing suppliers.

What certifications do they hold, and for which markets? Certifications are a proxy for process discipline. ISO9001 and ISO22000 point to quality and food-safety management systems; HACCP to hazard control; GMP standards to manufacturing practice; HALAL to compliance for Muslim-majority markets; FDA registration to US market access; and export food enterprise filing to export eligibility from China. Match the certificate list to the markets you actually sell in.

What is the real MOQ, and does it fit your stage? MOQs vary by format and by whether you are buying retail-packed goods or bulk OEM. Ask for the MOQ in your specific format and packaging, not a general figure.

Can they handle packaging and export documentation? A manufacturer that only produces bulk tea leaves the branding, packing, and export paperwork to you. A full private label partner handles both.

What does their development timeline look like? Speed matters when you are testing a market. Ask how long from approved brief to finished, packed product — and get it in the quotation.

Buyer FAQs

Can I get a sample before committing to a full order? Yes. Start by sending a reference product, a formula sketch, or a concept. We develop the blend, and you taste and approve it before production. Sampling is the normal first step, not an exception.

Who owns the recipe? This is a commercial term you should settle in writing before development begins. Clarify up front whether the formula is exclusive to you and whether the manufacturer can reuse it for other clients. It is one of the most important clauses in a private label agreement.

How long does development take? Plan on roughly 15 days from concept to finished packed product for a typical tea project. More complex briefs or new packaging formats can take longer — confirm your specific timeline when you request a quotation.

What are the minimum order quantities? For tea retail-pack lines, MOQs start at approximately 100–120 bags or boxes. For gummies and tablets, MOQs start at approximately 100–150 boxes. Bulk OEM is quoted per project, because the right minimum depends on the format, the recipe, and the packaging.

Can you match a competitor's product? We can use a reference product as a starting point for development, and we build a blend to your brief. Match the taste, format, and positioning you are aiming for — then verify with a sample before you scale.

Do you support packaging design? Yes. We produce to your artwork and dielines, and we can develop packaging with you if you do not have it yet. Packaging is part of the private label process, not a separate service you have to source elsewhere.

What markets do you export to? Our export experience covers 30+ countries and regions, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. On Alibaba, our main markets are Africa at roughly 50%, North America at 20%, and Southeast Asia at 10%. If you sell in one of these regions, your compliance and documentation questions are ones we handle regularly.

Can I order more than tea from the same factory? Yes. The same facility produces gummies, capsules, softgels, tablet candy, instant powders, patches, and jelly. If your brand spans tea and supplements, consolidating with one manufacturer simplifies quality control, timelines, and logistics.

Brands and product lines we produce

Our export work runs under three brand identities: Winstown, our main export brand; Wansongtang; and Daynee. Across these lines we manufacture functional, flavor, and herbal teas in pyramid, flat, and string-and-tag bags as well as loose leaf; instant powders; gummies; tablet candy; capsules; softgels; patches; and jelly.

We operate as an OEM, ODM, private label, and wholesale manufacturer. That means your project can start wherever you are: a finished concept that needs a factory, a half-formed idea that needs development, or a catalog product that needs your label.

Capacity, quality, and the company behind the factory

Guangzhou Wansongtang Biological Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wansongtang Health Group, which was founded in 1996. The Guangzhou company was established in 2011 and operates in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

Production runs out of a 5,235 m² facility with 13 production lines, 30 sets of equipment, and 100,000-class clean workshops. Quality is held by 2 dedicated QA/QC inspectors across the production process. The company holds ISO9001, ISO22000, HACCP, GMP standards, HALAL, FDA registration, export food enterprise filing, and National High-Tech Enterprise recognition.

On the commercial side, buyers rate us 4.6/5 across 53 Alibaba reviews, with response times within 4 hours, 99.5% on-time dispatch, and US$140,000+ in online orders. None of those numbers mean anything on their own — but together they describe a factory that communicates quickly and ships when it says it will, which is what a brand owner actually needs from a manufacturing partner.
